M3 Classic Whitesnake
03 December 2005, Stadthalle, Gotha

With barely no advertising and promotion the current christmas tour of M3 Classic Whitesnake is taking place. So there are not too many people in Gotha this night! M3, that is three founding members of Whitesnake (Bernie Marsden, Micky Moody, Neil Murray) plus additional bandmembers with the intention to play the classic Whitesnake songs with the classic Whitesnake sound.

Without support act the guys of M3 are entering stage starting with the classic "Walking in the shadows of the blues". The audience is offering a warm welcome so for the band it's easy to get the vibes for a great show.

And a great show they are playing! The guitars (Bernie Marsden and Micky Moody) stick together brilliantly, drums and bass (Neil Murray) are proving a great groove, the keyboards are adding some spice and Stefan Berggren is an excellent choice for the part of the singer!
The sound is great, the guitarists are playing a great duel, mostly with their signature guitars; it's awesome when they double each other! A slide guitar solo by Micky Moody with a lot of soul in it and the usage of the acoustic guitar by Bernie Marsden just added to a great live experience!

The setlist contains of all the classics of all the Whitesnake albums those guys have appeared at, like "Ready an' Willing", "Crying in the Rain" and "Here I go again". The last one came out as a great sing along track, and absolutely everybody knew the lyrics.

The only downpoint of the concert was the ticket price, I guess if it would've been half the price, the venue would have been almost packed, so it was just around 200 people I guess. I've won my ticket, so I could care less, but I've seen people deciding not to see the show because of the high price!

All in all it was a great show with great musicians that took some time afterwards to sign all the stuff people wanted them to sign. Concerning the setlist and the overall quality of the show I must say that I'd prefer M3 over Whitesnake anytime!
